Drydock Maintenance - TORONTO ODYSSEY

City Cruises Toronto has engaged Embark to manage the dry docking of the 560 passenger TORONTO ODYSSEY in the winter of 2025. This project will involve maintenance to the vessel's critical systems, shell plate work and topsides, recoating.

SMS Plans - 30,0000 Islands Cruise Line

Operating on beautiful Georgian Bay, Parry Sound based 30,000 Islands Cruise Line will be one of the first certified under the new Canadian Safety Management System Regulations. Embark is developing the SMS plans for both of the companies' vessels: The 542-passenger ISLAND QUEEN V and the 40-passenger ISLANDER.

Drydocking and Compliance Inspections - NORTHERN SPIRIT I

Another City Cruises/Hornblower project, the quenquennial drydocking of the 576 passenger NORTHERN SPIRIT I was completed in October 2024. This project included compliance inspections, drive component testing, propeller repair, steelwork, below waterline hydroblasting, and renewal of the antifouling coatings. 

Fleet Management - Yankee Lady Yacht Charters

As this long established Toronto company navigated an ownership change, Embark was contracted as fleet manager for the 2024 operating season. Managing all manner of marine operations, from crewing and compliance, to capex planning and safety management for one of the longest established charter yacht fleets in Toronto.

5-Year Compliance Inpsections and Refit - Brigantine PLAYFAIR

Brigs Youth Sail Training engaged Embark to manage the Transport Canada inspection and re-fit of the 50-year old brigantine PLAYFAIR. In addition to compliance inspections, the vessel underwent steel frame and shell plate repair, interior sandblasting and recoating, shaft testing and repair, and complete exterior prep and recoating. This seven month project completed in spring 2024 with the vessel certified for another 5-years.
